Florena Skincare

I took a selfie the other day and noticed a few wrinkles had appeared on my forehead! I’m not sure when they arrived, but they’re probably caused by too much squinting at the computer screen and raising my eyebrows!

Since then it’s been hard to not look at the wrinkles each time I look in the mirror. I was thinking I’m probably a bit too young to be using anti-ageing skincare, but then I remembered that I’m actually almost 30 and so it could be a good idea actually… prevention is cheaper than the cure!

I came across the Florena Skincare range which is cruelty-free, natural, vegan and sustainable. I picked the anti-age bundle which includes night cream, day cream, a face mask and facial oil.

The first thing I noticed was that the packaging is made from recycled materials and is recyclable, a great start.

I tried the mask first after exfoliating, it was lovely and thick and indulgent, and you just leave it on for 15 mins and then wipe off the excess.

The night cream is also thick but sinks in really quickly, I just give it a minute then it has absorbed and I’m able to put on my eye mask and prepare for a rejuvenating night’s sleep!

The illuminating facial oil is enriched with fermented Pink Helichrysum, natural antioxidants and fermented safflower oil and can be used on its own or mixed in with the moisturiser. I like to just use it on its own, it doesn’t look greasy and I’m sure I’ll be really glad of it during the colder months when my skin gets really dry.

The day cream goes on beautifully and feels really light, foundation goes on nicely on top of it too.

The products all smell lovely and fresh without being overpowering. Florena is the first company dedicated to the fermentation of flowers and oil, and I love it!

The anti-ageing range has a strong focus on antioxidants for skin. The anti-inflammatory properties of antioxidants can help protect skin against the sun, so it’s good to know that even though it doesn’t contain SPF its still helping to protect the skin.
